Look out, December! The road to the show season is just around the corner!
Working feverishly seems to be a common trait of most of my nearest and dearest this time of year. Many of the outfitters are winding down, and getting ready for a few months of tradeshows, while others are getting prepared for their winter hunts. And here I sit, working at a computer, trying to tap into my inner Jedi-master of patience… when all I want to do is head back outside too!
I would like to thank everyone who emailed in with topic ideas. This year at the GSCO Convention I have two seminars that were the most popular requests! Here are the teasers for each:
For Thursday, January 10th, at 11am- Noon:
Making a Career in the Hunting Industry
Where there is a will, there is a way. Rachel's account of what it is taking to make it in the guide/outfitting community, with a snippet of the some of the adventures; Expect the unexpected!
For Friday, January 11th, 11am- Noon:
Project Generation: Past Present & Future
"The past, present, and future of the hunting community: An interactive seminar about the various organizations Rachel is working with to show the audience how they can become involved to help secure a promising future through partnerships with conservation organizations with passionate advocators for wildlife and outdoor recreation.
In between the seminars, I can be found co-hosting the Guide Outfitters Association of British Columbia Booth #228.
I hope that everyone has a wonderful and safe holiday season! I look forward to seeing you all in Reno next month.
