You will not be seeing any posts from me for at least the next three weeks. I leave Friday, October 5, for a safari in Ethiopia. I will be hunting with Dave Rademeyer of Northern Operations. My #1 quarry will be the last of the major spiral horn antelope I need, which is the mountain nyala. I am pretty excited about this hunt, as I will be after two more spiral horns, the Menelik bushbuck and Abyssinian bushbuck. There are some other very important Africa animals on the list as well, such as the northern gerenuk, Beisa oryx, and Sommering gazelle. I must admit that I am looking forward to this, as this will complete what I consider to be all the major Africa animals for me. Here I think I will post one of my latest important spiral horn antelope, the bongo. I took this trophy in Cameroon back in May 2012.
